This is a retelling of the story of 'Sinhbad the Sailor' from the "Arabian Nights" pretty much as it is, but largely trying to substitute places and people and scholars of Aiers with those of the real tale, or the real world.

Obviously, I didn't cover all 7 voyages, and left off at voyage 4.  Hence the 'Part 1'.  I hope that I'll be able to gather the fortitude to write the second part later on.  I don't know, I simply had some trouble writing this, and it was getting long besides.

I was hoping to write a seemingly serious scholarly commentary, a somewhat comedic rebuttal by the 'Legend of Sandbad' himself, and to detail places in Aiers.  I fear I didn't do justice to any of the three.  That's unfortunate as this is meant to be an entry for the 'Forgotten Lands of Aiers' Contest for shabazik.deviantart.com/ .

Still, I hope that this is enjoyable to those who read it.

I do wonder... Sandbad it's supposed to be an elf? or a creature with other long lifespan as well, to be confused in stories and tales?
